Paste any English text and Lacuna turns it into a printable gap-fill worksheet (a cloze exercise) with a matching answer key. It is free, needs no account, and runs entirely inside your browser — the text you paste is never uploaded anywhere.

What it can blank out

• Verb forms — past simple, present perfect, modals, or every verb
• Word classes — articles and determiners, prepositions, pronouns, conjunctions
• Your own vocabulary list, matched on the dictionary form, so “go” also catches “went”
• Phrasal verbs, including separated ones such as “turn it off”
• Every Nth word, for a classic cloze test

What it prints

A student sheet and a separate answer key, on A4, with an optional word bank, first-letter hints and gap numbering. It can print several versions of the same worksheet, each leaving out a different set of words, so neighbours cannot copy. The interface is available in English, Croatian and German.
